MUS 203 : Music History I
This course provides a study of the development of music from ancient times through the Baroque Period.
Emphasis is placed on period style characteristics, representative composers and their works, and socio-cultural
influences. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and an aural
perception of period style characteristics, forms, composers and representative works.
